Job Summary/Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and skilled driver with a minimum of 6 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, excellent driving skills, and a commitment to safety. This position involves transporting goods and/or passengers to various locations while ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate vehicles safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Transport goods and/or passengers to designated locations in a timely manner.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and operational readiness.
- Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery logs.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the vehicle, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
- Assist with loading and unloading of goods as required.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to transportation and safety.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 6 years of professional driving experience.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Proven track record of safe driving practices.
- Familiarity with local and interstate driving routes.
- Experience with various types of vehicles (e.g., vans, trucks) is preferred.
